Is it difficult to build your own chicken coop in your backyard? If you are good with hand tools and able to read a building plans, it is actually quite easy.

I started on the nest box section today we have an old trailer that we are tearing down so lumber is no problem :) it just takes a little time removing all of the old nails and screws then I've been ripping the 2x4's in half to make the lumber go further and lighten the over all weight as well.

I want this nest box section to last the years so I'm planing on getting so pressure treated plywood for the outer shell.

This is a very interesting article. My grandfather searched the internet for 2 days not finding anything in Romanian(he doesn't speak English). He got a good bargain for 20 hens and now he wants to make them a coop. Thank you!
