Easy DIY Chicken Cop Nesting Box Video
Here’s a fun little video I found on Youtube showing you how to make a very easy Do It Yourself (DIY) chicken coop nesting box from recycled material.
The video is from Becky’s Homestead show, The commentator, Scott shows you how to build a recycled chicken egg laying nest box for your backyard poultry.
The chicken nesting box is a very basic design, but it does get the job done nicely.

I’ve made one similar to that one before. I’ve also used old milk crates as well in the past. Now that I think about it I still have those old milk crates.
I have more than enough materials to make a nest box at no cost but I want something just a little better this time. I just hope I can get back to breed of chickens I had before but I might have to start from scratch again since the chickens I had were mixed breed.
I started out with Cochens and crossed them with Araucanas when I had a good cross I then crossed the offspring with Aseels. In the end, I had just what I wanted, a chicken with feathered feet that layed green eggs and were very protective when it came to their chicks.
